COVID-19: Resources for Reopening Your Restaurant, Bar, Cafe or Foodservice Business
đź•’ 2.5 min read
It’s been nearly three months since restaurants, bars, cafes and other foodservice businesses were ordered to cease all dine-in service and close off seating areas, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March 17, the industry has had to continually create and revise business practices to try and keep doors open, while adhering to strict guidelines and protocols.
As the majority of Ontario enters Stage 2 on May 12- Toronto/GTA and nine other regions will have to wait a while longer - new challenges arise with rules and regulations for reopening patios and preparing for in-restaurant dining. To help restaurants navigate this, I’ve put together a guide of various resources including procedures for food safety, cleaning and sanitation; where to find PPEs; financial information and services; and other useful information specific to the industry. This list of resources will be continually updated throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
