Here’s the very latest:

Adams Halal’s Pub (1760 Victoria Park Ave.) is unique for two reasons: 1. It claims to be the first Halal pub in Canada. And 2. You won’t find a lick of booze anywhere – it’s completely alcohol-free. Which begs the question: can it still be considered a pub?

Japanese soufflé pancakes are one of the latest trends to hit the 6ix. The newest shop to offer the fluffy handcrafted flapjacks - Fuwa Fuwa Japanese Pancakes (408 Bloor St. W.). Doors opened Monday.

You could go for sushi tonight, but don’t skewers of Japanese breaded, then deep-fried meat, seafood, and veg sound waaay better? Brand new Kushimaru (64 Edward St.) has got the Osaka-style kushikatsu you didn’t know was missing from your life until now

In the mood for Mediterranean? Mississauga’s Petra Restaurant (1100 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W., Unit 9) offers “oriental” cold and hot mezze, char-grilled meats, alongside a selection of signature seafood dishes and desserts

Tondou Ramen (596 College St.) just opened in Little Italy, and on Saturday they’ll be at The Royal Cinema (608 College St.) for the screening of Ramen Heads.
