Mid-February used to be an achingly slow time for restaurants, save for Valentine’s Day of course. That was the old days -  introducing 14 new spots to dine and drink the days away this weekend.

Here’s the very latest:

OPEN

From the folks behind Field Trip Café (3 Westmoreland Ave.) comes another spot to get your caffeine fix and “work” on your laptop - Agenda Café (622 College St.)

Brunswick Bierworks (25 Curity Ave.) launched its eastside taproom featuring an array of brewery partners. Current hours: Saturdays 12-5pm.

Satiate your sweet tooth at Cacao 70’s newest eatery – currently in “soft opening” mode - in Richmond Hill (100 York Blvd.)

Head to Daily Grind (426 St. Clarens Ave.) for a variety of coffee, muffins, and cookies.

Dineen Coffee Co. debuted The Dineen Outpost in Leslieville yesterday (1042 Gerrard St. E.).

District Food Hall is now open in Terminal 3 at Transborder at Toronto Pearson International Airport starring Archeo Focaccia, El Catrin Tacqueria, Cluny Grille, and Distillery Bar.

Yonge and Dundas is now home to Yonge Street Warehouse (336 Yonge St.), with its $5.95 dishes and a slew of drinks and cocktails.

On the menu at First & Last (346 Dupont St.): coffee, scones, croissants and other baked goods.

Craving fried chicken with a kick? Head to Five Points Nashville Hot Chicken inside Open House Bar (1051 Bloor St. W.).

H2 Kitchen (204 Queen St. W.) “pre-launched” yesterday. What does that mean exactly? Only 100 customers will be served a day, so if you want to try dishes such as the Uni (Sea Urchin) Poke Bowl, you’d better get there early.

Mississauga’s Laari Adda Truck Stop Eatery (3030 Thomas St.) begins its “soft launch” this Friday.

Shop Halal certified meats, deli, and prepared items at Yonge and Eglinton’s Paramount Butcher Shop (2313 Yonge St.).

If you’re looking for wheat- and sugar-free, Paleo, and/or plant-based items, head to Recipe Food Co.’s (696 Queen St. W.) pop-up lunch counter this weekend.

Dessert chain Smile Dessert has landed at 3262 Midland Ave., Unit E113-E115 in Scarborough.

CLOSED

Long-standing restaurant and billiard hall Spacco (2415 Yonge St.) has shuttered.

NEWS

Bloorcourt bar and restaurant Disgraceland (965 Bloor St. W.) is now 100% plant-based (vegan).

While some restos are going cashless, Figures (137 Avenue Rd.) has decided to accept Bitcoin.
