Another busy week in restaurants, this time with 13 openings and some notable closings.

Here’s the very latest:

OPEN

ABC Euro Deli is celebrating its new Scarborough location (6 Lebovic Ave.) in a big way on Saturday from 10am-6pm, with a ribbon cutting ceremony to gift baskets giveaways and 10% off all day.

After lengthy delays, Agora by Mamakas (921 Queen St. W.) debuts today. The casual "grab-and-go" by Mamakas Taverna is set right across from Trinity Bellwoods Park

East-siders take note: vegetarian/vegan pizza destination Apiecalypse Now launched their second location yesterday in Pape Village (862 Pape Ave.).

Speaking of ‘za, Big Trouble Pizza (225 Spadina Ave.) has landed in Chinatown.

Scarborough Town Centre (300 Borough Dr.) just got its very own Cacao 70 Eatery + Dip Shop. Order off the menus at Saturday’s grand opening event – 50% of the dine-in revenue will be donated to Sick Kids Hospital and you’ll get a free hot chocolate in the process. Win-win.

The “soft opening” begins today for Pakdale’s Dumbo Snack Bar (1704 Queen St. W.).

From the owners of Frank’s Kitchen comes swanky FK Wine Bar (770 St. Clair Ave. W.). Soft opening starts tonight, with full menus coming next week. Stay tuned. **UPDATE 2:32PM - The soft opening has been rescheduled for tomorrow.

Celebrate Laundry and Lattes (1152 Dufferin St.) grand opening tomorrow.

Omaw Restaurant (88 Ossington Ave.) reopened yesterday under the helm of new head chef and partner David Schwartz with a brand new menu. Note: reservations are currently not available.

ICYMI – Drake’s Pick 6ix Restaurant with Chef Antonio Park (33 Yonge St.) is now open .

Attention wood-fired Neapolitan pizza lovers - Pizzeria Libretto (221 Ossington Ave.) has reopened after extensive renovations. Expect a brighter, sleeker, more modern space.

Starving Artist continues its expansion with a fourth location, this time in Etobicoke (2141 Kipling Ave.).

Get your poké, sushi burgers and sushi burritos on at Su& Bu’s newest haunt in Thornhill (8020 Bathurst St.).

CLOSED

Not long after Caplansky’s on College closed, the Yorkville location (156 Cumberland St.) is also no more. 

The Contender (1166 Dundas St. W.) has been KO’d.

Vegetarian café and event space D-Beastro’s (1292 Bloor Street W.) last service will be Family Day Brunch.

Lil' Baci’s (892 Queen St. E.) last service is Sunday. Owner Marc Bacci is opening a new concept in the same space in a few months time.

Dave Mottershall’s Loka (620 Queen St. W.) shuttered after service last night.

Adios, Tortilla Flats (458 Queen St. W.).

Yellow Griffin (2202 Bloor St. W.) may be done, but it’s getting a whole new look, menu and concept. Stay tuned for gastro pub Gin Mill to replace it in the next few months.

NEWS

On Monday, cafes and restaurants can serve alcohol as early as 7am for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Other dates include February 23 and 24.
