Here’s the very latest:

OPENINGS

Fat Lamb Kouzina (874 Yonge St.) has set up shop in Yorkville, currently serving homemade Greek lunch Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm, with dinner service soon to follow. Select from enticing fare including: Herb & Garlic Crusted Pork Roast with creamy garlic and rosemary mashed potatoes; Greens Pie “Hortopita” with sautéed collards, swiss chard, red onions, fresh herbs and sprinkling of sea salt; and Rizogalo, a sweet and silky rice pudding with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and splash of vanilla.

Get all-day breakfast ($10.95-$14.95), sides ($3.95-$5.95), and freshly baked French pastries at Food Society (650 Bay St.). Lunch and dinner is in the works.

Chef Nuit and Jeff Regular (PAI Northern Thai KitchenSabai SabaiSukhothai) open the doors to their much-anticipated restaurant Kiin (326 Adelaide St .W.) tomorrow night. Expect refined Thai fare and presentation. We’ll have a closer look for you soon.

The flavours of Mexico and Taiwan collide at the La Brea Food Pop-up at Kanpai Snack Bar (252 Carlton St.) the last Monday of the month, May to July.

Satiate your falafel and shawarma cravings at Mississauga’s new Lakeshore Falafel (1077 North Service Rd.).

100 per cent organic cold-pressed juice and salad bar RawBlendz (215 Lakeshore Rd. E.) is now open in Mississauga.

Expect the unexpected at new Si Lom Thai Bistro (534 Church St.). On the menu: Lotus Chips Labb, rainbow boozy slushies (!), and  a “perfect combo” special – Pad Thai Soft Shell Crab and Jolly Bear n’ Friends Kamikaze ($35).

Soup Bar by Feed it Forward (707 Dundas St. W.) is the “first of its kind, Pay-What-You-Can and Pay-It-Forward system,” according to local chef and caterer, Jagger Gordon. Soup Bar works on a token system. Through Pay-It-Forward, “a subsidized meal is purchased and a meal token is placed into a bowl. A person in need then retrieves a token from the bowl and uses it as payment, a transaction that means no one has to ask or beg for a free meal.” Soup Bar’s grand opening is Sunday.

Tuck into bento boxes, signature rolls, udon and all your other go-tos at Sushi Hwa (278 Dupont St.) .

From fried chicken to beef brisket, Uncle Smoke Cookhouse (2285 Dundas St. W.) is bringing authentic Southern wood-fire BBQ to the 6ix. Menu items feature premium cuts and signatures sauces, including: meat by the half pound ($10-$13), sandwiches and one side ($12), meat plates ($12-$30) and platters ($35-$95). Stay tuned.

Celebrate the opening of Village Juicery (2228 Bloor St. W.) in Bloor West Village on Saturday from 12 to 4 pm.
