The summer might be coming to a close, but restaurant openings continue to heat up. I’ve got 10 new spots for you discover this weekend, plus a host of enticing events.

Open:
Baddies
649 Lansdowne Ave.
In addition to coffee, indulge in sliders, chia pudding and homemade baked goods served on hand thrown plates and bowls.
Biggu Sushi
4664 Yonge St.
North Yorkers, if you prefer your maki on the large size, Biggu is for you. Regular size rolls are also available, along with other Japanese fare.
Chaska Indian Street Food Obsession
66 Queen St. S.
Decked out to look like an Indian street food truck, this new resto in Mississauga opened just yesterday.
Choose from crafted kathi rolls, salad bowls, and rice bowls, and customize it with charcoal grilled proteins and vegetables. All meat is halal, with vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
Darbar Persian Grill
2015 Avenue Rd.
The second location of the family-owned Persian restaurant is now open in Nortown. This time with more seating.
Fourk Restaurant
647 College St.
NightOwl just got a new restaurant last night, with an official "soft opening" on Friday.
Chef Josh Sexsmith Fourk’s menu is inspired by "international favourites and street food." Stay tuned.
Good Neighbour Espresso Bar
678 Bloor St. W.
The second location of The Junction café opened in Koreatown on Tuesday.
JP Sushi
520 Annette St.
Sushi, sashimi, maki, teriyaki and other Japanese fare are now available at Annette and Runnymede.
Masseria
577 King St. W.
The modern casual southern Italian restaurant opens its doors to the public today.
Executive Chef Rob LeClair (of The McEwan Group) is whipping up custom pizzas, signature salads and artisanal sandwiches.
P.G Cluck’s
610 College St.
Opened Tuesday at 4pm, the new fried chicken take out shop is conveniently located next to The Royal Theatre.
With Jalapeño and Honey, and Nashville Hot Chicken dishes on the menu, dinner and a movie just got a lot more fun.
The Spain Corner
600 College St.
Authentic Spanish fare is now yours in Little Italy. With a kitchen headed by a chef directly from Spain and a menu featuring pinxtos, tapas, and paellas
Closed:
Chef Greg Couillard’s Spiceman Mexicana on College has closed. There is a second express location in the works to open in the Remix Lounge (1305 Dundas St. W.). The new location is set to open March 17, 2017.
