There are a lot of excuses to eat great food this week, starting with with Easter celebrations.

The newest location for the burger and kale/grain bowls chain opens today right at King and Yonge.
 
Diana's Oyster Bar and Grill

Got a craving for oysters and Seafood? This new spot in Markham has it all. Fish Fridays just got way easier.

Fernando’s Hideaway
785 Danforth Ave.

The iconic restaurant - formally known as Hernando's Hideaway - has opened a location on the Danforth between Pape and Donlands. They are open Wednesdays to Sundays.

Get yer fresh and frozen yogurt now in Kensington Market. Dishes such as Overnight Oats ($7) and Greek Breakfast ($7) are a healthy way to start the day. Want something sweeter? Cherry Cheesecake and PB & J (sm $6/lg $8) are listed on the favourites menu.

Pinkerton's Snack Bar  
1026 Gerrard St. E.

The evening-only drinks and eats spot just opened eastside. Nibble on dishes such as Fausto's Fried Chicken while sipping on local brews.

Smash Ping Pong Lounge
672 Queen St. E.

Queen and Broadview just got its own ping pong lounge. And this one comes with a menu featuring sliders (beef $12, chicken $13), street style hot dog ($8), and ahi tuna tacos ($14). Sharing plates, sides and even dessert are all great accompaniments to brews and cocktails.

Updates:

The Fat Beet was all set to open last Saturday but was delayed by inspections. They hope to open this weekend.

Dublin Calling recently made the move from the St. Lawrence Market 'hood to the Entertainment District.

News:

While many has been reporting on the soon to arrive #WhatVegansEat restaurant, what they haven’t told you is that it’s actually called DOOMIE’s. The resto by way of Los Angeles will be bringing their Vegan Big Macs and other takes on meat faves to their new home in Parkdale at 1263 Queen St. W. soon. I'll have more for you soon.
