Baro
485 King St. W.

Chef Steve Gonzalez opens the doors to his four-floor restaurant on Wednesday.

Dishes include Cebiche, Duck Chaufa, and Ñoquis - a blend of Italian and Latin American influences with potato dumplings, gorgonzola, béchamel, and peas.
 
The Boil Bar
442 Bloor St. W.

Grand opening was Monday for this chain and their “unique take on the popular Louisiana-inspired Cajun seafood boil.”

Fat City
890 College St.

The boys are back in town.

Grand re-opening is Friday with special guest, Big Rude Jake.

Harvest Mediterranean Grill

Load up on doners, lamb chops, meatballs, schnitzel, fried calamari, cigar rolls, chicken wings, tilapia… there’s practically one of everything on the over 40-item menu.

On Monday, Scotia Plaza is getting a healthy fast casual restaurant, first launched in London, Ontario.

Choose from bowls (Lucha Libre, Niagara Greens) salads , wraps, smoothies (Peanut Butter Cup), coffee and tea.

Kaboom Chicken  
722 Queen St. E.

"Softly opened" on Tuesday, you’ve now got a new destination for Korean Fried Chicken, available in a variety of ways including a Ramen Burger with taro chips, and Thigh & Drum on egg bubble waffle. There’s also Braised Galbi Beef on fries or rice, Pork Belly Tacos, and a veggie plate.

Mochica

Montreal’s Peruvian restaurant opens today in Little Italy.

Montreal Bar & Grill

There’s a new watering hole on College near Bathurst. This one comes with drink specials – 1 shot $3, 5 shots $15 (+ 1 free), 10 shots $30 + (3 free shots).

Loaded Pierogi

LP’s third location at Queen and Niagara is now open, offering pierogies topped with duck confit, pulled pork, fried brussel sprouts, lobster or kimchi.

Table 21 Kitchen & Wine Bar

What used to be Stratosphere in the Kingsway neighbourhood now has a new name, concept and chef.

Menu items include market price tacos, Three Cheese Mac n’ Cheese ($17), Pan Seared Trout ($21), and Chicken Supreme ($25).
