These restaurant openings just couldn't wait

Every Thursday, I do a long list of restaurant openings, closing, along with restaurant news and openings, but in the last 24 hours, so much has happened, I couldn't wait until next week.

EXCLUSIVE

Pierogi Plans Unveiled

A second location has just been announced for Loaded Pierogi t will be in the Leslieville/Riverdale, at 1044 Gerrard St. E. Plans are for an end of May opening. And you'll be happy to know that it will have a bigger bar than the downtown location and a patio. I'll have more details to follow soon.

Kasa Moto Yorkville

News broke yesterday that Chase Hospitality Group is opening a "contemporary Japanese-Inspired Restaurant," in the former Remy's spot at 115 Yorkville this spring. Kasa Moto will be a two-story restaurant offering "contemporary Japanese cuisine, "done by chefs Tsuyoshi Yoshinaga and Daisuke Izutsu, and the space designed by award-winning firm II BY IV DESIGN. p.s. The first day of spring is March 20th, so the wait isn't too long after all.

Peter Pan is back

You heard it here first: The reestablished, redesigned Peter Pan is opening to the public March 18. The food will be an "homage to classic European cuisine, as well as its newer and cheekier elements."

With Noah Goldberg at the stove and Jay Whiteley in charge of the wine, no doubt this Peter Pan will be as iconic as the original.

I'll have a sneak peek of this historical landmark to you before doors open.
