Open/Closed for the week of October 12-18

This week brings not only great weather, but a host of enticing new restaurants and great events, many that come with a great cause attached to it.

Get ready Toronto, here’s the very latest:

Open:

Cibo Wine Bar

133 Yorkville Ave.

The former Ciao has been renovated into the third Cibo Wine Bar in the city. The new location features an open kitchen where you can watch fresh pastas being made while you peruse the extensive wine list.

The restaurant opens fully to the public tomorrow.

Indian Street Food Co.
1701 Bayview Ave.

Opening today, Indian Street Food Co. is brought to you by chef and owner of Amaya, Hemant Bhagwani. Expect a veritable feast for the senses at this new concept restaurant and wine bar.

I’ll have a closer look for you soon.

Kinton Ramen 5
396 Church St.

The fifth location has a modern look and feel, but the ramen hasn’t changed a bit. And that’s a good thing.

Miku
10 Bay St.

Miku’s grand opening is set for tomorrow. I’ll have an inside look for you then. In the meantime, just know that if you’re a lover of fine Japanese fare, you will not be disappointed. Swoon.

Return to Oss
217 Ossington Ave.

Ossington’s latest opening brings Greek and Mediterranean fare to the downtown strip. The insanely large menu features everything from Chicken Liver Parfait with Red Onion Marmalade ($10) to Surf & Turf ($20) with Bacon Butter Poached Lobster and spring onion chimichurri. With such wide-ranging selections such as Fish Pie ($17), Linguine Primavera ($16) and Roast Rack of Lamb ($22.50) to choose from, you’ll have to make multiple visits.

Tacos 101
10 Dundas St. E.

Chef Julio Campos is serious about tacos. His cute new shop just east of Yonge & Dundas has a fantastic menu – dig into fresh tacos such as the Carnita Taco ($4) made with tender pork shoulder slow cooked with oranges and spices, and garnished with pico de gallo and avocado purée. And tostadas come in two mouth-watering varieties – Tuna ($8) featuring Sushi-grade tuna, chipotle aioli, guacamole purée and crispy leeks; and Nopal ($5) with cactus, refried beans, diced tomato, onion, cilantro, and cheese.

Your week just got seriously made.
