Toronto Food & Wine Festival arrives September 2015
As if it weren’t a big enough morning to be at The Delicious Food Show with celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Chuck Hughes, Tyler Florence and Rob Gentile. But then the announcement came – FOOD & WINE is the official media partner for the new Toronto Food & Wine Festival.
After years of following the festivals in NYC, LA, South Beach and Aspen, we now get our very own, starting in September 2015.
Christina Grdovic, SVP/Publisher of FOOD & WINE, said, “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Informa Canada and that Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) will help promote the Toronto Food & Wine Festival in 2015. The city is a prime destination for an event of this kind – it has a white-hot restaurant scene, stylish hotels, and easy access from all over the U.S. And, while FOOD & WINE hosts premier culinary experiences across America and in other parts of the world, this partnership is particularly exciting since it marks our first annual festival in Canada.”
The new name and format for Informa Canada’s Delicious Food Show is not the only change. The venue will move downtown next year.
This is a huge deal for our country, city and food scene. HUGE.
In the meantime, this year’s show is pretty darn epic (Seeing Mario Batali in his orange crocs? Priceless.). In addition to the celebrity chefs mentioned above, check out the outstanding talent from Toronto, not to mention all the fabulous exhibitors. We’ll have continued coverage throughout the weekend, so be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter.
See you at the show!
